SDMC June Autocross/Clubcross - 8th June
The SDMC Speed Championship kicks off with the first Autocross/Clubcross of the year. The venue is a new field at Nether Auquhollie farm, all indications are that the surface will be flat and smooth which should make for a quick event! Autocross and Clubcross Regulations and Entry Form available now. The event is also a counter in the Club, Fiesta, Junior and Marshals Championships so there's not reason not to come out and get muddy! For more info contact Sue Hynd.
Club Championship - Updated 6th May
Due to some competitors not having awarded the correct points from the Granite City Rally
and the April Autotest, the Championship talbes have been amended slightly.
Also, two of the 63cc counters in the SDMC Championship have been rescheduled - The March Autotest will now take place on the 11th May and The March Hare Rally has been moved to 21st June. Please however check with 63cc for confirmation prior to travelling! Check the latest standings here.
Trophy Sponsors Wanted!
We are currently on the lookout for corporate sponsorship for the Junior and Ladies trophies. This represents an excellent opportunity for a company to have their name featured on an annually presented award with guaranteed media exposure, in exchange for a one-off payment to cover the cost of the trophy. For further information please contact Sue Hynd. Members, please forward the info to any parties who may be interested!
Stonehaven Motor Club Forum
We have recently created an online forum for the Club. Hopefully this will allow potential members to find out a bit more about what we're up to, as well as allowing the regulars to keep in touch between events. It's free to use so register here and have a look. Any ideas or feedback contact roy@sdmc.co.uk
ADMC Granite City Rally - April 26th
A mixed day for the SDMC runners at the Granite City Rally, with Heather Mackenzie's Peugeot 106 non-starting, early engine failure (twice!) for Bill Davidson & Caroline Will, and recurring cooling/transmission problems for Sean Will & Tom Hynd. However a Class 5 win for Scott Kerr & Rod Manson, Best Improvement award to Chris Collie & Roy Kemp, an excellent 4th in Class 3 for Scott Erskine & Ross Hynd and a solid finish for the Ritchie brothers was the silver lining! Full results can be viewed here!
SDMC Autotest - 20th April
HCC's Fred Stephen took the spoils at the abbreviated April Autotest, the results being declared after the end of Test 6. SDMC members Adrian Stewart and Malcolm Vie took the wins in classes 2 and 4. Full results available here.
